Join us for in-person worship!
The Galilean Service is contact-less (nothing handed out, no handshaking, etc.) and social distancing is practiced. Members of different households are expected to maintain a minimum of six feet between other people. In the event of inclement weather, the Galilean Service will be cancelled for that Sunday and not moved to the pavilion as in the past. If the service is cancelled, the status of the service will be posted to the Galilean Service’s and Foley UMC’s Facebook page by 6:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. You may also text RAIN to 251-333-0515. You will receive a text alert by 6:45 a.m. letting you know that the service will take place or that it will be cancelled due to weather. You may opt out at any time..

Worship in the Greatest Sanctuary!
The Galilean Service meets at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays from Mother’s Day through Labor Day Weekend at Gulf State Park Pavilion.
Since 1951, from Mother’s Day to the Sunday before Labor Day, Foley United Methodist Church has held a service on the sand for our members and our vacationing guests. A cross on a sand dune welcomes worshippers from around the country to a beautiful and unique service on the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico.
The first beach service was held May 20, 1951, under the leadership of the Rev. Robert Hagood, of the Foley Methodist Church. This summer, join us as we worship the Lord together by the sea, under the sky, among the dunes, in the freshness of the morning. People who attend come from all parts of the country as well as from overseas. Many return season after season to worship the Lord by the ocean.
Come worship in the greatest sanctuary!
